Sortia Terms of Service

Did you know reading a Terms of Service document takes an average of 15 minutes? Ironically, our app is designed to save you time. We’ve kept this as brief and readable as possible, but it is a legally binding agreement, so please review it carefully.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sortia website, mobile applications, and AI scheduling services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Sortia.
1. Your Account and Eligibility
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use Sortia.
Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any activities or actions under your account. Do not share your login credentials.
Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information when registering.
2. How We Use Your Data (Calendar Syncing)
To provide our core services, Sortia requires access to your third-party calendars (e.g., Google Calendar, Apple, Outlook).
Your Ownership: You retain full ownership of all personal data, voice notes, and calendar events you provide.
Our License: By connecting your accounts, you grant us a secure, limited license to read, process, and automatically adjust your calendar blocks strictly to provide the scheduling Services to you.
Privacy: We do not sell your calendar data or personal information. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.
3. Premium Subscriptions and Billing
Sortia offers Premium features (e.g., Pro and Team plans) on a subscription basis.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and will automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing cycle.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the applicable App Store (Apple/Google). You will retain access to Premium features until the end of your paid billing period.
Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by local law.
4. Acceptable Use and Restrictions
Sortia is built to optimize your day, not to be exploited. You agree not to:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or AI models behind the Services.
Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to extract data from our website or app.
Use the Services for any illegal purpose or to harass, spam, or harm others.
Attempt to bypass or break any security mechanism of the Services.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, AI engines, and software associated with Sortia (excluding your personal calendar data) are the exclusive property of Sortia, Inc. and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your personal or internal business use.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The Services are provided "As Is."
SORTIA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE COMPLETELY FREE OF ERRORS, OR THAT YOUR CALENDAR WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE A SYNCING DELAY.
Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SORTIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS.
7. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we want to resolve it quickly and fairly. You agree to contact us informally first. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 60 days, any remaining claims shall be resolved through binding, individual arbitration, rather than in court. You explicitly waive the right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in our business or the law. We will notify you of any material changes via email or an in-app notification. Continuing to use Sortia after the changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
